I don't have a garden yet, although I've been told for three summers I'd have one. So I throw pumpkin and gourd seeds in a manure pile and let nature happen. This fall we have a green harvest. Only about three or four pumpkins. And only one of those was really orange, the others were greenish.
E claimed that one. M carved a big gourd and L carved a green pumpkin.
